An Honest Dog Breeder
Basenjis Kennels is a well-known Dog Breeder in UK. We have been involved with breeding animals since 1970, when what started out as an accidental pet pregnancy turned into a fulfilling and life-changing enterprise. Our main priority is ensuring the health and well-being of all our animals from birth until they leave with their forever family - and beyond.
Basenjis Kennel's is Stephanie, and I Carolyn have been breeding ever since I was young, I love my animals and couldn't live without them. I have a smallholding where I also have a rescue Pony, Sheep, and Geese. My animals come first before anything, they are the first to eat and the last to go without. My daughter Stephanie runs the kennels with me and grandson Bradley helps with all the animals. both have been bought up around animals and both couldn't imagine a life without them.
We are a licensed Breeding establishment accredited by Randolph County Council

Lovely products. Great price and fast delivery. No hassle buying . I will definitely be coming back, I have enough respect for Carolyn and her dogs that I actually do NOT recommend her to every random person who asks me about a Basenji puppy. Carolyn’s dogs deserve extremely committed families who will be responsible in every way (and Carolyn would accept nothing less). Unfortunately, that doesn’t describe just any owner. For the people that keep their dogs inside, treat them as part of the family, hunt, or otherwise meaningfully engage with their dogs, absolutely I recommend Carolyn exclusively.

When you bring a puppy into your lovely home, it’s important to think about it from their perspective. They don’t know the boundaries unless you set them. They don’t know what you expect from them until you tell them through training.
Puppy-proofing your home is a great way to help set those boundaries in a safe way for your little one and for your home. Puppies don’t inherently know they shouldn’t eat your dirty laundry so respect them by keeping it enclosed in a tall laundry hamper with a lid. By removing temptations, you are setting them up for success from the beginning and keeping them safe in the process. Save this checklist to refer anytime you welcome a new pup into your home and family! Puppies are so much more than their price tag! Never think that once you buy the puppy, the only expense will be food. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. Here are the most common expenses when getting a dog:
- Supplies & gear
A puppy comes with a lot of supplies. They will need a crate, bed, toys, collar & leash, food & water bowls and much more.
- Travel expenses
Whether you’re driving to pick up your puppy, flying in and buying a ticket for your pup, or hiring a flight nanny, travel expenses add up. Don’t forget a travel crate too!
- The puppy itself
Well-raised puppies from responsible breeders are not cheap, nor should they be.
- Food
For the sake of your puppy’s health, it’s best to raise them on premium food. Ask your breeder for their recommended brand.
- Training
You absolutely need to invest in good training. Whether this is through your own time watching YouTube videos or hiring a professional trainer, this one is a no-brainer.
- Grooming
You can groom your dog yourself but you’ll need to invest in quality supplies or hire someone to do it professionally.
- Health care
Obviously you’ll need to take your pup to the vet for checkups and vaccinations.
- Pet medical insurance
Highly recommended to save you thousands if your dog were to get sick, pet insurance may seem like an addiction expenses at first but could actually end up saving your wallet in the long run.
- Medical bills
As much as we all hope our dog will never get sick, chances are good they will at some point in their life require medical intervention.
- Boarding & pet sitting
If you plan to travel without your dog, you’ll need to have someone care for them while you’re gone. You may also need to hire a pet sitter to take the puppy out during the day if you are working.
These costs add up! That’s why it’s important to make sure that you are not only physically and mentally ready for a puppy, but also financially! Puppies are so much more expensive than what you pay the breeder to raise them and give them a good foundation.
